Just heard that M F Hussain wants to give up Indian citizen ship and take up Qatar citizenship because of Security reasons. Then there are these artists and media walas on news chanels who are in favor of Hussain and are blabbering about how THE INDIAN GOVT in not doing much as far as his security is concerned, so he has decided to take this grave step.
I am unable to understand why this man gets paid in crores for something which people are barely able to make head and tale of.I m not and expert in Painting so will give him the benefit of doubt by saying that beauty lies on the beholders eye.
The media people are actually going gaga about what a great artist he is and how India has failed him and they must make efforts to convince him not to do so.
REALLY has India failed him. I seriously dont think so. Its not as if he earns crores and donates half of it to the poor of India. Please with a billion mouths to feed and more than half the tax payers money being stolen by the corrupt politicians etc. etc. we have better things to worry about. I am sure the Indian Government would have provided him with necessary security had he been in India.
All I would like to say is that at the age of,92..nono 95...(what was his age again???)he has made his choice so lets just respect his decision and move on.

So true Richa... how the hell India has failed him.. i truly agree.. No ways India has failed him.
Each artist or any public figure should not play around the sentiments of the people in the country he or she resides in.
People may find this sore or sarcastic to hear.. if MF Hussain can have the guts of making naked pictures of Hindu mythological gods... So he should definitely have guts to make one of the Prophet. Can he make it in Qatar?? I have my doubts..
